Dr. Langer’s books provide fascinating insight into the mind-body connection. A Harvard University professor and award winning psychologist, in Counter Clockwise, she gives us the results of her 30 years of research convincingly arguing that if we take greater control of our health through mindfulness, we can transform our lives for the better; how we heal and how we age.
Her second book, also fascinating, calling the book, “the psychology of possibility”.
These are not a beauty books, as the cover might lead you to believe. It is a well written in layman’s terms, an analysis of her research studies. It’s innovative and empowering, opening up the way we think about our health, healing and aging.
Funny at times, based on facts, this is for the non-believer, changing the way you think and your life. She makes important connections between health and beauty through mindful behaviors. Incredibly fascinating books.
